1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Amoria (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must meet all of the following requirements to use Amoria:
• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You may not use the Service if you have been previously removed or banned for violating these Terms.
3. Account & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
• Provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
• Do not share your account credentials with any third party.
4. The EQ Assessment
Access to Amoria’s matching features is gated through our Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Assessment. By completing the assessment, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
• The assessment consists of a combination of open-ended and multiple-choice questions designed to evaluate emotional intelligence across five domains: Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Empathy, Social Skills, and Motivation.
• Amoria reserves the right to modify, update, add, remove, or replace any or all assessment questions at any time, without prior notice, in order to improve the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of the scoring system.
• Your responses are processed by an AI-powered scoring engine to generate your EQ score and tier placement. This is described further in our Privacy Policy.
• Your EQ score and tier are intended to support meaningful matching — not to define your worth or character. Scores may evolve over time.
• Amoria does not guarantee specific matching outcomes based on your assessment results.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users in any way.
• Use the Service for any commercial or non-personal purpose without our written consent.
• Post or share content that is illegal, discriminatory, sexually explicit, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful.
• Misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions.
• Attempt to access, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service through automated or unauthorized means.
• Create multiple accounts or attempt to circumvent a prior ban or suspension.
• Use the Service to solicit money or financial assistance from other users.
6. Content Ownership & License
You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service, including photos, text, and assessment responses.
By submitting content, you grant Amoria a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content solely within the Service.
We may remove any content that violates these Terms or our community standards without notice.
7. Membership & Payments
Some features may require a paid membership. Pricing and terms will be disclosed prior to purchase. Unless otherwise stated, memberships automatically renew until canceled. You may cancel at any time through the platform’s subscription settings. Refunds follow our stated policy at the time of purchase.
8. Safety & Responsibility
Amoria encourages safe and respectful interactions, but we are not responsible for what may occur outside our app. You agree to use discretion and caution when meeting others. Amoria does not conduct criminal background checks on users. We may use available tools to verify authenticity, but safety is a shared responsibility between Amoria’s users.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information — including assessment responses and any personal data you provide.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services, including analytics providers and AI API vendors. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. Amoria is not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties regarding the availability, accuracy, or reliability of the Service. Amoria is not responsible for user conduct or the outcome of connections made through the Service.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Amoria and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may close your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved through arbitration or in courts located in Utah, unless otherwise required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
